You've sent through great feedback and we've heard you! Here are some of the features in development and on the top of our "to-do" list.
It's not all about the coral (apparently!). You've told us that you'd like to see some options for recording, storing, and analysing data on coral reef fish, alongside benthic data. The ReefCloud team are working hard on this and hope to have a first release by mid-2023.
With work in remote locations where internet access is sometimes not reliable or readily available, we have recognised the need to have ReefCloud offline access going forward. Development of an offline version of the platform is a priority for our team and will allow users to manage and work on benthic imagery data wherever they may be. Watch this space!
ReefCloud aims to facilitate collaboration. Within and between-project forums for users to discuss monitoring efforts, share ideas, leave notes, and ask specific questions relevant to the broader ReefCloud community will be a great resource and one which we are hoping will be available soon.
We are currently working closely with other coral reef data monitoring and reporting platforms like Mermaid, Allen Coral Atlas and GCRMN to improve linkages and efficiencies in integrating coral reef data that will make all our lives easier!
All feedback from users is valuable and we encourage you to get in touch if you have suggestions for additional features or improvements you'd like to see going forward. Please reach out with your ideas!
